Ian was a Senior Partner in Cormack Tansey Partners, a strategic consulting firm for financial institutions, from 2003 to 2005. He was Chief Executive Officer of AIG Inc's insurance financial services and asset management in Europe from 1997 to 2000, and was Chairman of Citibank International plc and Co-Head of the Global Financial Institutions Client Group at Citigroup. He was also Country Head of Citicorp in the UK from 1992 to 1996. He now holds a number of non-executive positions with various companies (public and private) and charities in the UK and abroad
